Penguatan Keilmuan Fikih Thaharah melalui Pendekatan Partisipatif Pada Majelis Taklim Ibu-Ibu Masjid Al-Karin Kota Lubuklinggau

Abstract

This community service program is designed to improve the understanding of the fiqh of purification (thaharah) among members of the Al-Karim Women’s Majelis Taklim in West Lubuklinggau I District, Lubuklinggau City. Based on the results of the needs assessment, most participants have limited educational backgrounds and encounter difficulties in comprehending the chapter on purification (thaharah), including ablution (its pillars, conditions, and nullifiers), obligatory bathing (ghusl), types of impurities and their methods of purification, as well as the various categories of water used for purification. The program was implemented over three sessions, employing the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, interactive lectures, group discussions, and practical simulations. These methods were designed based on initial observations and interviews as part of the needs analysis. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests, supported by in-depth interviews. The findings indicate that the majority of participants (65%) demonstrated improved understanding, accompanied by positive changes in attitudes toward both the comprehension and practice of religious duties.This program demonstrates that a participatory and contextual approach to fiqh instruction is effective in enhancing the religious capacity of women at the community level. Furthermore, this model has the potential to be replicated in other Majelis Taklim, with appropriate adjustments to suit local needs and conditions.
