Budaya Ruwahan Sebagai Ajang Silaturahmi Bagi Masyarakat Dusun Taba Tinggi Desa Sukaraya Lama
Abstract
Within the framework of Islamic society, this research aims to develop a more profound sociocultural understanding of ruwahan behaviors in Taba Tinggi Hamlet, Sukakarya Lama Village. The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning, symbolism, role of tradition, adaptation to changing times, and the impact of ruwahan on the dynamics of social relations, the formation of religious identity, and spiritual interests in Muslim communities, particularly in today's modern and pluralistic era. This research uses a qualitative approach and the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Interviews with community members active in Guwahati practices were conducted in-depth, participant observation was performed, and group discussions were held to collect data. The research findings indicate that ruwahan carries a profound significance within Islamic society's religious and cultural traditions. The establishment of religious identities and spiritual interests in Muslim societies is influenced by this practice, which also helps to strengthen societal values such as solidarity, mutual collaboration, and unity. To ensure that this tradition continues to be relevant and sustainable in the current day, which is becoming increasingly interconnected worldwide, ruwahan must be adapted to the shifting times, the advancement of technology, and the development of societal values.
