Komunikasi Budaya Lamban Pesagi Sebagai Media Dakwah Kultural Di Pekon Kenali Kecamatan Belalau Kabupaaten Lampung Barat

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cultural communication of Lamban Pesagi as a medium of cultural da'wah in Kenali Village, Belalau District, West Lampung Regency. The study is based on the understanding that da'wah is not limited to formal religious lectures but can also take place through social and cultural spaces embedded in community life. Lamban Pesagi, as one of the traditional buildings of the Lampung community, has social and cultural functions related to gathering, interaction, and deliberation. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data are collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants consist of traditional leaders, religious leaders, community leaders, and residents of Kenali Village who possess knowledge of or are involved in activities related to Lamban Pesagi. Data are analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity is established through source and technique triangulation. The study focuses on forms of cultural communication occurring in Lamban Pesagi, the role of traditional leaders as cultural communicators, the forms of Islamic values conveyed through cultural interaction, and the function of Lamban Pesagi as a space or medium of cultural da'wah. This study is expected to contribute to the development of da'wah communication studies by demonstrating the relationship between local culture, social space, community communication, and the transmission of Islamic values.
